Baumer hhs Taps Madren As President
Improving customer service
is a priority for
new president of Baumer hhs Corp.
(Dayton, OH - March 4, 2009) Baumer hhs Corporation has welcomed Joseph L. Madren as new president of its North American operations near Dayton, Ohio. Madren has replaced John C. Edgar who recently retired, having served as president since 2001. Baumer hhs Corp. is a subsidiary of Baumer hhs GmbH which has manufacturing facilities in Germany and other locations around the world. Baumer hhs GmbH is wholly-owned by the Baumer Group based in Switzerland.
Baumer hhs is a global leader in sales, service and manufacturing of systems for precision gluing, glue and print detection and quality assurance, which includes camera verification and optical scanners. Manufacturers in a variety of markets rely on Baumer hhs' technology to increase productivity and improve product quality, including companies engaged in print finishing and bindery, corrugated and paperboard packaging, flexible packaging, web printing and end-of-line package sealing.
"As the new president of our corporation, my immediate responsibility is to enhance customer satisfaction," emphasized Madren. "We will achieve that by providing leading-edge technology to customers who understand our sincere desire to make them better manufacturers and to support them like never before," he added. Mr. Madren has already launched an internal reorganization to buttress his customer service strategies. Specifically, he has established distinct business units with separate management to cultivate better flow of communications, speed response to customer inquiries and assure top-notch technical service.
As a student at North Carolina State University, Madren earned a Bachelors degree in Biological Engineering. He went on to do graduate work in electro-mechanical engineering with a minor in integrated systems engineering. The university hired Madren as a research engineer mostly involved in electro-mechanical system development. In that capacity he did R&D contract work for a multi-billion dollar international company based in Richmond, Virginia.
Due to his impressive resume, especially his experience at introducing
electro-mechanical technology into production environments, Madren was hired by
Baumer hhs in 2003 to be technical sales manager, a newly-created position. He
proceeded to set-up and run the company's satellite sales/service center near
Greensboro, North Carolina, and directed activities in developing new markets.
Besides R&D and technical sales in a tech-laden industry, Madren brings other
skills to his new position, such as customer service, site analysis, project engineering
and management.
